Bayt Muhammad Academy is a centre of knowledge and light, a place for all to connect with Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. Operating for over ten years in the UK, we provide essential courses and services to the community at large.
Since 2010, the Academy has resided in a small rented property, which does not fully cater for its daily activities or demand, with numerous men, women, children on the waiting list deprived of the sacred light they yearn to seek. Alhamdulillah after a decade of struggle we have purchased a piece of land through Qardh Hasanah which was paid off in February 2022, with planning permission for the new building designs approved by the local authorit in in December 2023. We now need urgent funds to implement the vision and plan for the new centre that will become Blackburn’s first dedicated and purpose built Da’wah Centre for one and all to connect to Allah Subhaanahu Wata’aala and His Beloved Messenger (S.A.W) as well as educational facilities for adults of all ages and levels to study sacred knowledge. It will also be the UK’s first Shaafi’i Darul Uloom. We sincerely request your support. These funds will be your legacy, your Aakhirah – Insha Allah – as you become part of the foundations that reap the reward of every other structure, project, service and person that follows and rests upon it.

We have operated over ten years, running numerous daily classes of Qur’aan, Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh, Aqeedah, Tajweed, Arabic and more, as well as Dhikr majaalis, courses, events, prophetic sports, counselling, revert programmes and much, much more… all from a 2-bedroom terraced house on rent! Bi Tawfiqillaah!
“If greatness of purpose, smallness of means, and astounding results are the three criteria of human genius, who could dare to compare any great man in modem history with Muhammad? …the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammad. These were the deep words by which the mission, vision and reach of the Prophet ﷺ was being described. With limited worldly resources he ﷺ began his mission in the humblest manner: A handful of students quietly whispering in darkest night, enclosed in the small house of Al-Arqam in the Makkan vicinity. Today His ﷺ Ummah congregates to form the largest annual gathering in the world, glorifying their Lord in brightest day, in the open expanse of the Masjid Al-Haram, the largest structure in Makkah.
Following in His blessed footsteps, we have operated from a small enclosed space on Cherry Street, Blackburn, with limited resources and no funding for over ten years. During which over:

Our current site is heavily restricted and can no longer cater for ourdaily activities or cope with the demand. We have numerous men, women and children on the waiting list, deprived of the sacred light they yearn to seek.

With only a handful of rooms, and a rented, temporary space, it is becoming increasingly difficult to continue. With countless people deprived due to the limitations of the current building. The nature or the property restricts us from expanding further, and renders multiple projects and initiatives on hold or cancelled indefinitely in the wait of a new space.
As the only higher education institution for the Shaafi’i madhab in the region, an entire community is forced to share a 2-bedroom house for the spiritual preservation and development of their future generations. Thus, hundreds of people are left with no space to come and learn how to perform their daily obligatory Salaah, how to fast in Ramadhan or perform Hajj according to their Madhab.
Alhamdulillah, after almost a decade of struggle we have managed to acquire a piece of land for the upcoming future of the academy, for which we urgently require funds from those whose names have been selected in the heavens, etched in the preserved tablets as those whom Allah blessed to be part of this legacy that will expand the possibilities and elevate the remembrance of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ
With a new, expanded space we can open the door to hundreds of people yearning to connect with Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, to learn their religion, to rectify their spiritual states. We can help preserve an entire community that has been long deprived. We can provide additional services that are currently not possible. We can dream to please Allah even more, increase in His remembrance and deliver even more knowledge. A new space would allow us to have:
The UK’s first purpose-built centre providing a full higher education curriculum in all four madhabs, with a special faculty dedicated for the Shaafi’i madhab, featuring the first and only Shaafi’i Aalimiyyah Progamme in the western hemisphere.
A centre that preserves the light of the knowledge of Allah, His Messenger ﷺ, His Deen and His Commandments through the sound and accepted understandings that were formed and transmitted through the endeavours of the great Imaam Shaafi’i, who was the founder of one of the four primary Madhaahib (Schools of Thought) of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah . A legacy that enables millions across the globe to know how to worship their Lord and uphold His commandments.

Every lesson has its specific requirements, and every student has a special environment within which enhances their level of study and concentration. The purpose of a classroom is not only to provide a space, but a space that facilitates the purpose of the lesson.
No two students are the same, everyone learns and benefits from different aspects of teaching. A classroom is perhaps one of the most important aspects of the student experience, and has a great impact on the development of the student.

“Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.”

Living in a world where women are desperately in need of an equal avenue, and a central space to grow and be nurtured in a pure environment, we dream for a future where this space can become a living experience for the Muslim sisters in our community who have for so long been confined to a world that disconnects them from the remembrance of Allah.
A space that drives them with a passion to revive the legacy of the great female luminaries found in our past, to become a beacon of light for the entire Muslim Ummah, to become mothers like Khadijah Radiyallahu ‘Anha, to become daughters like Fatimah Radiyallahu ‘Anha, to become wives like Aisha Radiyallahu Anha and to become pure, chaste role models like Maryam Salaamun Alayhaa.
This is the dream; a dream of a centre that is built for the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the chaste men and the chaste women, the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so!, for whom Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward!
