Maulana Ahmed Riyad was born in Northallerton, England. Maulana had memorised the Qur’aan at the age of 14 and thereafter enrolled at Jamiatul Ilm Wal Huda, Blackburn where he completed the Aalimiyyah course. Maulana studied the fields of Sarf, Nahwa, Hanafi Fiqh, Shaafi’i Fiqh, Usool, Aqeedah, Hadith and Tafseer and Qiraa’ah. He has been blessed to study under the likes of Sheikh Awadella, Sheikh Muhammad bin Omar Al-Kaaf, Sheikh Muhammad Az-Zuhayli, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Ya’qoubi, Sheikh Saeed Al-Kamali, Mufti Ikramul Haq, Mufti Abdussamad Manubari, Mufti Inayatullah Patel, Mufti Muhammad Ali Falaahi, Mufti Muhammad Farooq, gaining Ijaazah in Hadith and Qiraa’ah from many of them. Maulana pursued his studies further in various sciences and  is currently studying the higher volumes of Fiqh in the Shaafi’i Madhab. Maulana currently teaches at Bayt Muhammad Academy.
